This Valentine’s season, join a One Billion Rising event. The movement launched on Valentine’s Day in 2012 as a call to action against  violence inflicted on women around the world.

An estimated 1 in 3 females will be beaten or raped in her lifetime – that amounts to one billion women worldwide. The One Billion Rising movement focuses on root causes of violence in communities in an effort to create systemic change.
